An Honors Experience in Tampa

Students travelled to Tampa, Florida March 30 to participate in the Southern Regional Honors Conference. Among presenters were Dr. Zubizarreta, Joanna Burch, Allie Cochran, Emma Condrey, Desirae Gostlin, Yolina Elenkova, Keely Fagan, Chantel Lucas, Lilit Makaryan, Haleigh Small and Shelley Whipple.

Easter Egg Hunt

Students pick up prizes on the green

Student Activities hosted an Easter Egg Hunt Wed., April 4th. Over 500 eggs were hidden in and around the green, and prizes included DVD's, flash drives and chocolate bunnies.

MIS(S)REPRESENTATION

On March 14, Miss Representation premiered in BLC 201-202. The film, shown at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, chronicles and investigates the misrepresentation of women in the media. A short discussion followed the film that showcased the provocative nature of the film. Thanks to many organizations that sponsored the event, including the Gender and Women Studies program, Columbia College now has rights to view the documentary.
